Third day in Honolulu: my presentation

During the night, I prepared my presentation slides. I changed the story from what I had been thinking, so it took time.

I finished the first version of my presentation at 10 AM. Then I went to Hawaii Convention Center to listen to my colleague, who was invited.

Then I came back to my room, which was already cleaned.

I kept working, upgrading the slides.

I went to the meeting  room in Hilton at 4 PM. It was a small room with 30 – 40 participants. My presentation started at 5 PM.

I am new in this field, and I first talked about the background of my research carefully. Then, I explained the results obtained in an easy way.

The talk was successful. There were five good questions..

I went back to my room and took a nap until 7 PM. Then I went to Hawaii Convention Center for an evening poster session.  There were many company booths, but I did not  visit any.

I looked around the posters and talked with my friends, whom I had not seen. A big professor found me and started talking about my presentation, which he liked. He said he would send me an e-mail.

After the poster presentation, students and teachers had dinner together at a restaurant by the sea, “The Chart House Waikiki“.

Honestly, I wanted to sleep, but having a dinner with students and colleagues were not very bad.
