We are fine in Kofu after the quake

The earthquake still continues in the north eastern area of Japan.

We feel very fortunate living in Kofu.  Little apparent damage was found in the city.

Although life is not changed here, everybody feels worried about the future of this country.  One and a half day have passed, but everything is not revealed yet.

The images on TV are incredible.

Katya’s parents are worried about us, too.

We are watching the message from Prime Minister. We need to help each other.

It is truly incredible how much damage has occurred – and I agree that the true extent of the damage is yet to be realised. The only thing that can be done right now is to do what can be done for those people that are still in trouble… we have yet to see (at least in the Australia) much of the real rescue efforts in the major effected areas. I am guessing that these areas are still struggling from lack of communications, power, and transport infrastructure.

This has certainly been a dark period of Japan’s history – but will also show the strengths of the people.

Katya had I talked about what to do for those people. Donation could be the only way at this moment.
    We will do it soon.
