Radioactivity not well controled yet

When I heard the news about pouring ocean water into the reactors, I thought, “This will solve the problem”.  Pouring ocean water means they decided to abandon the reactors to cease the melt.

However, the fuel still has heat, meaning water is not poured efficiently.  The project is not going properly.  I want to know why, but it seems that the reason is not known.  I am very sorry for the people in Fukushima.

There will be no nuclear reaction, and Kofu is far enough from Fukushima.  No effect on us, but for Fukushima, the situation could be the worst.

Katya, as everybody else, is  concerned about the radiation pollution.  Katya’s family is worried. Many people are upset.

With pouring water properly, the nuclear problem ends.   I hope it ends in a couple of days.

Hi – I understand that you’ve just had another big earthquake (mag 6 in Shizuoka)… that’s not that far away from you?…. hope things are going well, and Katya, Maya-san and yourself are able to keep safe and keep spirits up.

  2. Muravej says:

Katya fled without her shoes on into smart with Maya-san. Frequency of the quake was short and I understood it was from the surface. No damage at all in Kofu.
Thank you for your concern about us.

I have to admit that this morning I felt a new optimism that it was coming to an end… that was short lived. Then – I was talking to my wife before coming home from work when she said that Japanese tv were suggesting that there was a chance that Fuji was going to erupt and I thought… you gotta be kidding – that just couldn’t happen. And yet, such is the psychology at the moment that you might think it a real possibility… that and Godzilla swimming in from the ocean to make an appearance.

It must be so draining to have these continual stories coming out of the media. I hope that sanity starts prevailing soon. Meanwhile we’re on a new countdown as to whether T-chan and L-kun will go to Japan. What with Qantas now not flying into Narita, it’s starting to look harder and harder to do this, even if we wanted to.

  4. AdelaideBen says:

Correction – Qantas are not flying direct into Narita now… they’re stopping over in Hong Kong on the way (to swap crews) before flying into Narita. Very confusing situation now.

Talking about Godzilla, I am remembering when I played SimCity. Godzilla appears to break power plants down.

Katya is imagining some unrealistic scenarios, but I think it is normal.

At the destroyed places, foods, water, medicines, blankets, and everything have not been supplied enough. People cannot stay longer in the situation.

Thank you for your notice about Qantas.
Stopping over in Hong Kong gives a chance to think over before flying to Japan, so it could be a wise choice.
