Quiet Birthday

It was my birthday today.

I was busy in the morning and came back home for lunch at 2 PM.

Katya gave me a Hilfiger shirt and a bottle of perfume for my birthday presents.

Maya-san gave me kisses.

In the evening, we went to Red Lobster for a birthday dinner.

It was deserted inside more than usual on a Friday evening.

Waiters and waitresses were less.  On March 1, they changed the menu, increasing combos, which made the quality look lower.  Actually, as far as we noticed, the taste was not bad.

Drinks.

I wore the shirt Katya gave me.  We took a lot of appetizers.

We shared a sea-food combo.

The silence inside and less workers created a lonely atmosphere.  They did not come to ask us for desserts, so we went out.

Katya and I agreed that the chances of survival of this restaurant are not high.  It would be a pity to lose an upper-middle casual restaurant in Kofu.

After dinner, we took a night walk together.  Maya-san looked for cats.

Happy belated birthday – didn’t read post until just now (not getting much time to catch up on everyone’s posts… not surprisingly). Still, sounds like you had a reasonably quiet birthday (bet it won’t be as quiet as mine… which will be spent halfway between Japan and Australia… by myself…with a cold no less).

Happy Birthday to you, too, Ben! Your picture on the sled is impressive.
Have a safe back home to Adelaide.
