Today is Constitution Day, a holiday.
We took a late breakfast in Restaurant Giovano.
We took a picture in front of the hotel.
Then we drove all the way to Shimosuwa to receive Maya-san from my parents.
My sister and her children were there. We had dinner together.
They brought their dog, Anju with them.
My mother decorated the guest room for Boys’ Day on May 5, presently Children’s Day.
Katya, Maya-san, and I all drove back to Kofu.
Loved the photo and vid update. Looks like you had a great time… even driving in a Golden Week traffic jam can be fun with the right company, and good music. Glad you had a nice trip.
I loved the photo of Anju and you… needs a good caption, but for the life of me, I can’t imagine what was going through your mind in this photo (or the fact that you’re both seemingly engrossed in the same thing).
Nice post.
Ben, about the photo, I was driving for 7 hours and so exhausted even after a good dinner!
7 hours of driving… now that makes perfect sense… though doesn’t explain the expression on the dog… ?:-)
Anju’s inside is unknown to me. I only know she was looking at the dishes on the table.
