A one-night trip to Shimosuwa

At 5 PM, I took Maya-san in mini and drove to Shimosuwa where my parents live (and I was born). I took a highway (highways in Japan are not toll-free).

I dropped by Yatsugatake service area.  Maya-san sniffed around. Venturing out seemed to be stimulating her.

From the service area was seen the combination of a highway and rice fields.

We arrived at my parents’ at 7 PM. Anju was there to avoid heat. She welcomed me.

Maya-san was happy with my parents, not with Anju. Maya-san and Anju know each other, but they are not the best friends. However, they played sometimes together.

Unlike Anju, Maya-san has her own profession of watching cats. She stayed up all night watching outside.
