interview over

I woke up at 3 PM and prepared for the interview today.

I went to the office without Maya-san and started checking the PPT file. I practiced my talk again and modified it.

I prepared 25 copies for my talk.

At 9AM, I left my office to home, put a suit on, and left tor the interviewing site in Tokyo. From Yotsuya station in Tokyo, I took a taxi in case I lose myself.

The presentation started at 1:45 PM. There were more than 20 judges. I talked about 10 min, and the judges asked me questions for about 15 min.

I think my presentation was OK. From the judges were posed mostly technical questions. I think I answered correctly, but maybe not impressively.

I took trains home, thinking over the interview. I arrived at Kofu at 4:30 PM. I thought of a haircut and had it done, which actually should have been done before the interview.

Maya-san welcomed me home.  I took her out.

I talked with Katya about today on Skype, and went to sleep.

It is hard to present a lot of information in 10 mins… these are the hardest sorts of presentations to make. Very easy for the talk to ‘go off the rails’ or to miss key information. When will the project funding decision be made – quickly I hope.

  2. Muravej says:

Yes, Ben, I have a feeling that I could have done better.
But I did not do the worst.
I will know the result in two weeks. Wish me luck.
