Tennis in Kiyosato for refreshing

We went to Kiyosato in the afternoon.

In “Kiyosato no Mori“, Maya-san dug a hole, while Katya took pictures of her.

There, we went to a restaurant “Hickory Farms“.

We shared salad and Okonomi Yaki (for Okonomi Yaki, AdelaideBen posted a good article with a recipe). The salad was simply cut vegetables and dressings, but the taste of the vegetables was rich.

After finishing late lunch, we played tennis.  There were only two of us. It was a good exercise to refresh my body.

On the way back home, Katya bought two cacti.

Katya is planning to make a small “cactus farm” in the apartment.

Good to see you back home… and hopefully not too jet-lagged from the long flight.

I am sorry to say, but I agree with you on preferring not to fly JAL on international flights. On all the flights that we’ve done to Japan, JAL have been the least enjoyable (regrettably). Still, airline quality comes and goes, and JAL’s fortunes have not been so good of late.

Still – my view is that if you get to where you’re going, preferably with all of your luggage, then they’ve at least done the most important thing right.

    Welcome back.

I wonder why the crews serve in those strange ways and why JAL makes such strange foods.
I know JAL is poor and trying to reduce costs, but it seems to me that, instead of heading in the efficient direction, they are going in a strange direction, looking for a strange pseudo-oriental style (that costs nothing).

A reasonable explanation is that Japanese prefer. Could it be so?

  3. AdelaideBen says:

I don’t know about that… my wife doesn’t like JAL service either. I feel sorry for them (as they used to be quite reasonable). Now however they just really struggle to find a good direction.

That can be simply my own imagination. Anyway, I think they are able to make the flight more pleasant without using much money, which is, of course, good for their business, too.
