A walk in Tokyo

We woke up late and arrived at the restaurant for breakfast at 9:30 AM.

“We will have a wedding party from 12 PM. The restaurant will be closed at 10 AM.”, they said at the entrance.

So we rushed to the dishes for breakfast. It was a busy breakfast, although the view of Tokyo from the windows was good.

After the breakfast, I bought presents for the anniversary and gave them to Katya.

Tokyo Marathon was held today.  Katya and I watched the race. A Japanese runner, Arata Fujiwara, made a good race to win the silver medal.

We then checked out and headed for the Imperial palace. I was thinking we would be able to enter the palace, but actually,we needed a reservation for the visit. So we just walked by.  It was not very interesting.

We had late lunch at AUX AMIS Tokyo in Marunouchi Building. The foods were OK, although they were expensive for the bistro quality. We paid more for the view.

This was a busy meal again, because we had already made a reservation for the train!

We were able to get on the train to Shimosuwa, where Maya-san and Anju welcomed us.

Mom had made a big dinner for our wedding anniversary.

Unfortunately, we were not very hungry and thankfully took the dinner home.

We did not do a lot in Tokyo, but it was a good change.

At 8:30 PM, a student I am teaching called me for a help. He will carry out his graduation presentation tomorrow and needed my advises. I went to school to help him and came back home at 11:30 PM.
