First day of the conference

I woke up and called to Nagoya station, asking about my suitcase left in a bullet train.

“Sorry, the store room opens at 1 PM”.

I did not know why they close it till afternoon, but I told them that I would call again in the afternoon.

I had breakfast and left the hotel. I walked to the convention center “ACT CITY HAMAMATSU“.

The problem was that I was going to chair the first four talks at the conference in the morning. A student of my institute let me use his jacket, so I did not look so humble as a chairman.

I stayed listening to the presentations in the morning.

A colleague and an ex-colleague went together to have lunch at Mein Schloss, a restaurant of a beer factory. Looked good outside, but it was still a bit too cool to eat in the garden.

We had lunch menus inside without a beer.

After lunch, I called to Nagoya station. The suitcase was found, and it would be sent to my hotel. Very good!!

The three of us went back to the convention hall.

After the talks, all students and the teachers from our institute had dinner together at “Sakanaya Dohjoh“.

It was a joyful dinner, although the quality was not high; we let students to eat as much as they can with an “all-you-can-eat” menu.

Then I walked back to the hotel.

The hotel was still lit today.
