Small International Meeting

Katya is in Vladivostok.

I took Maya-san out for a walk in the morning before going to school.

There was a small international meeting starting at 10 AM. Six lectures were given. I saw two German professors after a year, both of whom are invited.

During the lunch time, I quickly went back home to say hello to Maya-san.

The meeting ended at 4 PM.

At 5 PM, I went back home for Maya-san’s walk. After the walk, she asked for a shower again.

At 8 PM, I finished my job.

Today, I was able to talk with Katya on skype. She told me she could hear my voice clearly. It is cool in Vladivostok. It seems Katya is living happy and healthy.

Hope Katya’s enjoying her time in cool Vladivostok, and that you’re coping ok at home (and that Maya-san isn’t fretting too much). I have to admit that I most probably share her enthusiasm for a cool summer… but the only time I spent in a Japanese summer in 2010 made me realise just how lucky we have it here in Adelaide to have a dry heat. It might get to 40-45degC during summer here (not all the time), but it’s a dry heat! Makes so much different.

Katya does enjoy the weather there, or literally she loves it! I am very glad because the summer here in Kofu is killing her.
Kofu is very hot. Being surrounded by the mountains, Kofu is not windy, either. This makes the situation worse.

Anyway, the temperature is slowly but steadily getting lower, which is good for Katya coming back soon.

Life with Maya-san takes time, but it was expected. I think I managed my life OK.
