Lecture at Tokyo University of Science in Kagurazaka
I had breakfast in the hotel. Akihabara was seen from the window. I checked out, took a train, and arrived at the Kagurazaka Campus of Tokyo University of Science. I arrived at the hall 20 minutes before the lectures. There were about 100 learners mostly from companies. I was the second lecturer to make a 70-minute talk. After five lectures, there was a Q&A time. The listeners were very dedicated and studious. All lectures ended at 5:30 PM. Lectures and hosts had a dinner together at a Japanese pub. After the dinner, I took trains home. On the way back, near Takao Station, an accident happened to the train, … Continue reading →

Business trip to Tokyo after meeting a Chinese student from France
At home, during the lunch break, I was preparing for the tomorrow’s lecture in Tokyo. Katya left home for work while I was preparing. Maya-san got bored to be left and tried to sleep on my suit in the baggage. I forced her out, packed everything properly, and left home for the office. Maya-san must have got bored more. C’est la vie, Maya-san. In the evening, with the baggage, I left the office for Kofu Station, where I met a Chinese student from France for a two-month research in our institute. He seemed to be smart. I took him to the hotel and we had dinner together. Then I left Kofu … Continue reading →

Real-Estate Exhibition and Meeting with Tenants
After I took buffet breakfast in Akiharaba Washington Hotel, I checked out and moved to “Bellesalle Shiodome” in Ginza, where “Real-Estate Investigation Fair by HOME’S” was held. On the way to the venue, there is an apartment “Nakagin Capsule Tower“, a monumental apartment designed by Kisho Kurokawa. The venue was only 5-min walk from this apartment. There were seminars by lectures as well as 16 booths of real-estate companies to talk with. I had no time to listen to the seminars, so instead, concentrated on collecting materials to learn about the present situation of the real-estate business. I left the place at 3 PM. Then I moved to Nakaochiai to see … Continue reading →

Business Trip to Tokyo Big Sight
I came back home at 7 AM. I took Maya-san out for a walk and went to sleep. Katya left home for her classes while I am in futon. I woke up at 9 AM, took trains, and went to Tokyo Big Sight, a large convention center. An instrumental and scientific exhibition, nano tech 2012, was held there. Many domestic and international companies participated and presented their new instruments. Very interesting! The Russian company I had found in another exhibition had a booth, too. I talked with a salesperson, who said that the business is going well in Japan. After leaving the exhibition site, I took trains to Akihabara to … Continue reading →
