Seminar in Shimosuwa
Katya, Mariya, Maya-san and I left our apartment for Shimosuwa at 4:30 PM. Katya drove me to Shimosuwa Production Support Center directly for my talk. She then went to my parents’, left Maya-san, and, with Mariya, went to see her Ukrainian friend living in Shimosuwa. Work after the business trip, Students abroad
After the business trips, I always become busy because of the jobs not having been finished during the trip. Today, therefore, I was busy again. The student who is graduating with his master’s degree is now in Italy. The one who is getting his bachelor’s and who went to Kyoto together with me has left for Australia. These are the last trips before the graduation. I hope they are having a good time.

Lazy Sunday on January 29, 2012
Katya, me, and Maya-san got up late this morning. I was working whole day, because of the business trip tomorrow. I need to finish some duties. In the evening, we went to Jonathan’s. While we were having dinner outside, Maya-san enjoyed a one-dog party, which she had not been holding for a while. We scolded her as a rule as usual. She stayed alone for a while. Then we are having a lazy evening. Now Nadal and Djokovic in the Australian open. Katya likes Nadal and worries whether he wins. She checks the game once in a while on the internet. We are watching Takeshi’s Castle.
Business trip to Tokyo
It was a beautiful day. I went to Shibuya, Tokyo, in the morning to visit the real estate agency to prepare the documents for the contract between me and the new tenant of my studio in Nakaochiai. From Shinjuku to Shibuya, I took a train. In the stations, I noticed no foreigners; everybody was Asian, and I heard neither Chinese nor Korean. It was very unusual and weird in Tokyo. Outside of Shibuya, I noticed very few foreigners, too. The young man in the office preparing the documents with me was from Minami Soma city, destroyed by tsunami and close to the power plant. He said he took all his … Continue reading
