Last day in Hatsushima

We had breakfast in Oceano. I first went to the restaurant alone and finished mine, while Katya was taking care of Mariya in the room. Then, Katya took her turn and I was playing with Mariya.  Mariya has been a very good girl during the trip. We took a boat, Isle de Vacances III, from Hatsushima to Atami, leaving at 11:10 AM. From Atami, we drove to our apartment in Kofu. I left Katya and Mariya at our apartment, and drove alone to my parents’ in Shimosuwa taking the Chuo Freeway. Seminar in Shimosuwa

Katya, Mariya, Maya-san and I left our apartment for Shimosuwa at 4:30 PM. Katya drove me to Shimosuwa Production Support Center directly for my talk. She then went to my parents’, left Maya-san, and,  with Mariya, went  to see her Ukrainian friend living in Shimosuwa. In the seminar, eleven people came to listen to me, who were managers and engineers of  small industrial companies in/around Shimosuwa. They wanted to have some hints of the business in the near future. My talk started at 6:30 and ended at 8:30 PM, with many questions. It seemed that they had  understood me. Trip to Hatsushima schedules during the weekend

In the morning, the mailing system was still down. Therefore, I used telephones and my private mailing address for the communication. Fortunately, the mailing system recovered in the afternoon. I suddenly got busy I kept working on preparing my presentation scheduled in Shimosuwa tomorrow evening. I finished the abstract and have sent it to the organizer of the meeting. Tomorrow, everyone in the family, Katya, Maya-san, Mariya, and me, will go and stay at my parents’ in Shimosuwa. Then we go on to a two-night trip to Hatsushima, our favorite island. It will be the first long trip for Mariya, who will see the ocean.

Izu trip decided

I am preparing an Izu trip from 15th to 17th this month. I have already reserved a room in a hotel in Ito on the 15th, and was waiting for a cancellation at a hotel in Hatsushima island on the 16th. Today, I called to the reservation center and found out 30 people in the list still waiting. So I gave up. I made another one-night reservation in a hotel in Ito, so we will stay in Ito for two nights. It might be not bad to be relaxed in the same hotel.

Back to Kofu, Sunday May 6, the last day of Golden Week

In the morning, I woke up alone  to take a hot spring spa. Katya and I had breakfast in “Oceano” on the first floor in XIV Hatsushima.    After breakfast, Katya went to the esthetic salon. I was watching TV, waiting for her to return. She was satisfied with the treatment. We had cakes at the hotel  lounge, checked out, and took a bus to the harbor. Katya bought souvenirs for my parents at a shop by the harbor. Hatsushima on Children’s Day, May 5, 2012

Breakfast on the 8th floor. Very nice view.    Katya and I went out for a walk to the sea.    We decided to take a glassboat “Noah”. The boat arrived just before 12 PM. The  boat was full with 24 visitors. There were many fish indeed, but the water was not clear enough because of the plankton of spring.    After the 30-min underwater trip, we took lunch at an Italian restaurant, “Porto“, our favorite.    We walked around the island after lunch. Shimosuwa to Hatsushima on Greenery Day、May 4, 2012

   Katya and I left Shimosuwa to Hatsushima at 8:30 AM, leaving Maya-san with my parents. The weather was pleasant, and we enjoyed driving. However, it did not last forever. We were caught in a traffic jam. The jam lasted for several tens of minutes. To save time, we bought light lunch at 7-Eleven.  We hurried to Atami Harbor. The boat leaves for Hatsushima Harbor at 2:10 PM. We barely made it a couple of minutes before the departure. In Hatsushima Island, we always stay in Grand XIV Hatsushima Club Hotel. Working before Shimosuwa and Hatsushima

Katya, Maya-san, and I are planning to see my parents tomorrow. The day after tomorrow, Katya and I will leave for Hatsushima (sorry, Maya-san. Have a buffet time in Shimosuwa with my parents). So I continuously worked. Tomorrow morning, I will work, and this is it. Even, in the evening, I cooked chili con carne, which we will bring to my parents’. Katya will bring some Russian dishes, too.

Tickets to Hatsushima arrived

Katya and I are planning to go to Hatsushima on May 4 and 5. At Yahoo auction, I was betting and won the discount tickets to the island. Today, I received the tickets. I am working longer to finish my jobs before the vacations come.

Katya and Natalia returned from Hatsushima

Katya and Natalia arrived home before 6 PM. They were waiting for me. They seemed to be tired after two journeys, from Saipan and Atami/Hatsushima. I cooked tuna steaks for dinner. Katya had bought rice crackers as a souvenir in XIV Hatsushima. On the way back home, they dropped by Gotenba Premium Outlet.  They bought croissants at Fauchon for me. Boy, they were real, real French croissants! The flour must be imported. It is the most genuine croissant I have ever eaten in Japan. Everybody was tired, and we went to sleep.
