For my scientific project, I am holding general meetings three times a year. The next meeting will be scheduled on this Friday in my institute; I started preparing for this. I checked the attendees. There will be nearly 30 people. Four officials are coming from a government organization. To all of them, I have sent the schedules. I have also sent the report I prepared last week. I planned the arrangement of the room, and I rechecked the party after the meeting. I hope that everything goes well on Friday.
Yesterday, after the seminar, I received a response from the governmental office telling me that they are not allowed to download files from free storage sites. It is reasonable, so I made the file separated into three and sent them by e-mail first. An officer said the report was fine, so I print it out, signed on it, and sent it by mail. A researcher came from Shimadzu. We worked on our instrument under development.
I had two classes to teach today. I like the classes and students seem to understand me. I then started preparing a report of my project in the academic year 2012 (meaning from April 2012 to March 2013). It was not too difficult because I just copy and paste and adjust lines and change fonts and copy and paste and adjust pictures, and so on. I came back to the apartment at 7 PM for dinner and Mariya’s bathing. Then I took a nap. I came back to my office and am copying and pasting and adjusting.
I stayed up all night in my office, preparing for the presentation in Tokyo scheduled today. 20-min presentation and 10-min Q&A is not long at all, but it should be counted far more seriously than the report I submitted the other day. At 7 AM, I went back home for a walk with Maya-san, while Katya was tired and sleeping with Mariya. Then I went back to the office. I made 25 copies of my PowerPoint presentation file, and left the institute at 11 AM for Kofu station. The presentation was scheduled at 3:40 PM, so leaving that early was not necessary, but I did not want to get to … Continue reading
I will carry out the oral presentation on November 27th for the midterm judgement of my project. If the judges do not like the results I show to them, there is even a possibility of the stoppage of the project, which has principally been scheduled to continue until 2015. I have already submitted my report. Today there came questions from the judges after reading my report. Only three questions were posed to me, They were not very difficult to answer to. I started working on answering to those questions with including new results in order to impress the judges. The answering sheet is due Friday.
I received an e-mail telling that the report had arrived at the office in Tokyo. Relieved. I sent an electric version by e-mail. I left the office at 8 PM as usual. Toray Pan Pacific Open Tennis Tournament, was on TV, which is the largest ladies tennis tournament in Japan. Sharapova has already left the tournament, which is not a good news both for me and Katya.
I woke up at 1:30 AM and went to my office. Then I started working on the report due tomorrow. I came back home at 7 AM and took Maya-san for a walk. Then I went back to my office. I started working again. I had lunch I brought from home, Then I started working again. I finished the document at 3 PM. I called to a delivery company to pass the document to be delivered to Tokyo. After coming back home, Katya put another live rock into the fish tank. The atmosphere is getting ready for welcoming a crab or somthing.
It is at the end of September, and the highest temperature in Kofu finally went down ot less than 30 degree C today. It was comfortable even during the day time. The deadline of the revision of the project report waits for me on September 27. I will work on it tonight.
Busy. I checked e-mails. I finished a report on the forum in China, which will be published in a society journal. I was invited to a conference in Korea in August, but the abstract was not finished yet. And other things to be done.
I worked in the morning and finished with a report for the products my ex-student’s company produces. Their technology is based on a historical, steady one, and they modified it in a modern chemical manner. I understood the importance and prepared the report with a scientific view point as well as with an up-to-date engineering technology. Important products can be only fabricated with their methodology. I sent it right now!
