For my scientific project, I am holding general meetings three times a year. The next meeting will be scheduled on this Friday in my institute; I started preparing for this. I checked the attendees. There will be nearly 30 people. Four officials are coming from a government organization. To all of them, I have sent the schedules. I have also sent the report I prepared last week. I planned the arrangement of the room, and I rechecked the party after the meeting. I hope that everything goes well on Friday.
I stayed in my office last night, too. I finished the project schedules till 7 AM and sent them by e-mail to the bureau. Yes!! In the morning, the student carried out his second presentation. It was better, but was asked some modifications, too. I helped him with it. From 6 PM, I taught English to five students, and worked till 8 PM. I came back home after two nights. Actually, it was our wedding anniversary yesterday. Katya gave me a present. It was a CD, “Moshi Moshi Harajuku” by “Kyary Pamyu Pamyu“! I was very happy. Tomorrow and the day after tomorrow, we will stay in Tokyo for the … Continue reading
I stayed in my office. I slept a bit with my head on the desk. I am working on the schedules of my project for the academic/fiscal year 2012 starting from April. The deadline has passed. In the morning, I received an e-mail telling me to finish them as soon as possible. So I kept working. A bachelor student I am instructing carried out his rehearsal for the graduation presentation right after lunch. The presentation was not very bad, but it needed to be modified. While I was working, the student came in to my office for the discussion. We talked a lot about how to understand his data. We … Continue reading
At 10 PM, I went back to my office to prepare the schedules of the project from April. It is mid-night. I will be working tonight. The deadline has passed, so I need to.
I have sent the research schedules and budget plans of my project to the government. However, the bureaucrat asks me to modify them on and on. It is just a bureaucratic, meaningless work, but I did it a whole day. It is so annoying, but I have to do it. I wish I had an assistant.
I slept well last night over glasses of wine. I woke up at 7:30 AM and took Maya-san out for a walk. Then I went to school. I worked all day today. The project schedules and budgets are almost set. I finished dinner and am watching Wozniacki vs. Gajdosova in Toray Pan Pasific Tennis. I will work a bit more tonight.
I came back to my apartment at 6:30 AM. I slept till 7:30 AM. Katya told me that I had snored, but I do not remember if I actually fell into sleep. I took a shower and went to my office. I restarted working. At 9 AM, a company man, subleader of the project arrived at the institute. We checked and rechecked the schedules and budgets. We worked till 4 PM, and the man went back to Kyoto. I finished different two articles, and came back home at 8 PM. I had dinner with two glasses of wine. While I was writing this post, I fell into sleep.
I am working on the schedules and budgets and a small piece of paper. At 2 PM, I showed two professors from USA around the lab. From 3 to 5 PM, they had lectures. When I came back home, Katya was with Maya-san and a laptop. She is so interested in tablets. I was surprised because I was thinking Katya is a person who is not attracted to those electronic devices; so was she herself. Today, while she was not working, she went to Yamada electronic shop. She said Apple and Toshiba interest her. I do not think she needs one, but it seems she is having fun (?).
Katya took Maya-san to see the vet. She had her back irradiated by laser light. Maya-san is getting better, but we need to be careful. Katya seldom lets her walk. Katya’s return home is getting close. Katya does not like Vladivostok Air very much, so this time, she tries to use Korean Air. I saved enough Delta miles for letting Katya take a Korean Air to Vladivostok, but I found out that during summer, they do not offer flights by miles. So I decided to use ANA miles between Japan and Korea. Between Korea and Vladivostok, we buy tickets. Yesterday, I called to ANA for the flights; there was an … Continue reading
