First day of the summer vacation
The summer vacation of our institute started today, Saturday, August 11. It ends on Sunday, August 20. Since Katya is not with me, I went to my office for some works. I am leaving for Seoul on August 15, so I need to work for that, too. I still saw some teachers and students working at the institute. I checked e-mails and worked with documents. In the evening, I watched a ladies’ volleyball gave Japan vs. Korea. Japan won and got a bronze. Japan has not got many golds but many medals, so it has been enjoyable watching the Olympic games.

Besides, seats are already limited by the Japanese visitors to Korea during the summer vacation. Also, they will not … Continue reading

Preparing for Katya’s departure
Katya leaves Japan on August 5. She flies to Seoul, stays one night there, and meets her family in Vladivostok on August 6. She will leave Vladivostok on the 29th, stay one night in Seoul, and arrive in Tokyo on the 30th. Today, I called to the Korean Embassy to make sure that she does not need a visa in Korea during her transit. I made a reservation for a stay in a hotel near the Inchon International Airport, Seoul, on the 5th. Now, I need to make a reservation for a bus trip from Kofu to Narita International Airport. I also need a reservation for a stay in Seoul … Continue reading
