Leaving Japan for Poitiers, France

I am taking two students to the University of Poitiers, France. I will make a small talk, too.

I took a bus to Narita Airport from Kofu Station leaving at 2 PM.

There were only two passengers.  I was sleeping most of the time.

At the airport, I bought some souvenirs to my colleagues in France.

I took a bowl of dipping ramen for an early dinner.

I am writing this article at the departure gate.  The students are somewhere around.

The plane leaves in an hour. I need to prepare.

Wish me luck.

Good luck – and feeling jealous.

I was just saying to T-chan that we might want to think about sneaking away for a trip to France (I’ve been promising it for so long, but time’s getting short now, and travel always becomes more difficult to organise when there’s children). Still – we’ve got 5.5 months to go before #2 comes along.

I’ve been to Paris only once before – but loved the experience. Have lots of fun, and try and bring back some blog material! Most importantly however, safe trip.

I arrived safely in Poitiers and started working here.
Oh, I am tired, and so are my students.
I will give a lecture tomorrow. I had no time to prepare it in French, so I will do it in English.
I will try to make some time for the posts here.
I hope T-chan is OK with the new life. Send her my best wishes from France.
