Itajiki Gorge, Kofu, Yamanashi, on Sunday
Today is Sunday. In the morning, Katya and I had brunch at Gusto. Then all of us went up the mountain to Itajiki gorge in Kofu, which Katya had happened to find. By the gorge, there was a short hiking course less than a kilometer long. Right after the entrance, Shirokami waterfall welcomed us. Roads were sometimes rocky but mostly pleasant. At the end of the hiking course, there was Otaki waterfall. The differential level is 30 m; the fall was not huge, but it was worth visiting. The mists made us feel cool. Shopping on Labor Thanksgiving Day
It was a national holiday today. In the morning, we had coffee we bought at Coffee Tonya. I grounded the beans. I had the beans roasted in the Italian manner, by mistake, instead of French, so the coffee was stronger than we normally have. But the beans were good and coffee was tasty with milk. Katya and I went out shopping without Maya-san, who hopefully enjoyed a nap. First we went to Sports DEPO. We asked to change the strings of our rackets. Then we walked to a 100-yen shop, Daiso. Busy Respect-for-the-Aged Day
Today was a holiday. Katya’s mother, Natalia, is coming to Japan in October. We went to buy a set of futons for her at Nitori. We bought a pan, too. Then we went to Super Autobacs and changed the tires of our Smart. I was sitting by the window, watching how the tires were changed. Then we went home with futons. In Japan, TV broadcasts have been completely digitalized since July 25. I have not enabled our TV set to receive digital signals (we are watching Internet programs), so today, I installed the adapter.
