Jingisukan BBQ dinner on Sunday
It is Sunday today. When I woke up, it was raining. I took Maya-san out for a walk in the morning. She was a good girl enough not to hesitate to walk in the rain, which is not very often. After the walk, Katya drove to Jonathan’s. I read a newspaper, while Katya an internet magazine with her iPad. Drinks in Jonathan’s are better than in Gusto, so we might be going to have Sunday breakfasts in Jonathan’s, although Gusto is in the walking distance from our apartment. Then we went to “Pet Field” to see live rocks to be put in a fish tank. We did not buy … Continue reading

Furoen on Vernal Equinox Day
Today is Vernal Equinox Day, a holiday. In the morning, Katya and I went to Gusto for breakfast. We went back home, picked Maya-san up, and headed for Furoen as scheduled. We used two Ogino coupons for a free entry. The Ume blossoms were at their best. Small shops were there to provide with foods and drinks. We took a cup of amazake drink. We walked up the hill. It was a pleasant walk except Maya-san who needed some free run. Katya and I took Maya-san to Pet Field for her beauty care. I looked her through the window. She was OK with the lady but did … Continue reading

Another Sunday
I did not sleep well for two days, so I slept till 9:30 AM. Maya-san and I had a walk, then Katya and I went to Gusto for brunch. I like eating and reading a newspaper, which I do not feel impolite because fortunately, Katya likes to eat and read a book during breakfast. Then everyone went to Lake Inagako. Only the skin of the lake was frozen. It was not very cold walking around the lake. Maya-san smelled something under the ground, which made her dig a hole. We need to leave the hole, anyway, and this is only when Maya-san loosing herself growls and barks at … Continue reading

Shopping on Labor Thanksgiving Day
It was a national holiday today. In the morning, we had coffee we bought at Coffee Tonya. I grounded the beans. I had the beans roasted in the Italian manner, by mistake, instead of French, so the coffee was stronger than we normally have. But the beans were good and coffee was tasty with milk. Katya and I went out shopping without Maya-san, who hopefully enjoyed a nap. First we went to Sports DEPO. We asked to change the strings of our rackets. Then we walked to a 100-yen shop, Daiso. Katya bought some goods for magic tricks to show at her English lessons to kids. Then we drove … Continue reading

Lake Inagako, KFC, Aquarium project
Kofu was very warm. In the morning, it was 24 degree c. Katya and I went to buy packs of coffee and some biscuits at Coffee Tonya. In the afternoon, we went to Lake Inagako. Much cooler at 14 degree C. The leaves are falling down. Autumn is ending. Maya-san dug holes as usual. However, the moles seemed to have gone. On the way back home, we stopped by at a KFC to take lunch out. Christmas is getting closer. We then fetched some water plants at Pet Field for Katya’s aquarium project. After having a late KFC lunch at home, Katya planted the plants in a tank. … Continue reading
